Petaluma police officers John Antonio, left, and Eduardo Esponda prepare to take Anthony Mattaliano, 19, to jail Thursday afternoon, following reports of escalating physical conflict between Mattaliano and a woman in front of 7-11 on Old Redwood Highway. Mattaliano became hostile and uncooperative, and was arrested for resisting a police officer. Hisfemale companion, identified as his mother, declined to press charges.
